    Individuals, Couples, Adolescents, Families

We may not all be great storytellers, but we each have a story to tell.  I count it a privilege to be able to listen to my clients’ stories and instill hope into their narrative, as we walk towards their next chapter with greater strength and resilience.  My aim is to provide a safe, confidential, and supportive therapeutic environment for clients to not only share their experiences, but to be able to retell them in a way that brings about healing and purpose.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with the Board of Behavioral Health Examiners for the state of Arizona, with clinical experience working with diverse clientele of all ages.  I primarily serve adults and adolescents through individual, couples, and family counseling modalities.  I have experience providing career counseling, Christian counseling, and supporting clients through a range of mental health concerns, including stress, anxiety, anger issues, marital and relationship concerns, low self-worth, grief and loss, adjustment issues, depression, spiritual or faith-related issues, and career transitions.  I am also a certified Prepare-Enrich Facilitator, equipping couples with knowledge and evidenced-based skills to achieve healthy relationships at various stages in their relationship.

I use an eclectic approach to therapy, integrating therapeutic interventions from various models to meet the individual needs of my clients.  This may include CBT, DBT, Family Systems, Person-Centered, Psychodynamic, Gestalt, and more.

I have a background in Education, with a BA in Liberal Studies from Azusa Pacific University (APU), and several years of working in higher education.  My diversity work and time spent abroad in South Africa with college students motivated me to pursue a Master of Education in Community Counseling from Loyola University Chicago, to be equipped to better help them navigate their mental health issues and personal struggles.

Since graduating with my post-secondary degree, I have married my best friend, relocated to Arizona, and am the mother of four beautiful children. This by far has been my greatest accomplishment and my most favorite adventure.

I have my own redemption story that bears witness to God’s grace and unmerited favor, and the wholeness that has come from my relationship with Jesus Christ.  As a counselor, I believe that I am an extension of God’s grace poured out, and I aim to serve others with a Christ-like heart and mind.  I believe that growth and healing start with a connection built on trust and the ability to show up as one’s authentic self. In the therapeutic relationship, I view the client as the expert and the one who gives direction to the counseling experience.  With this model, I’ve had the pleasure of watching lives transformed, hearts healed, and relationships restored.

I am humbled by your willingness to let me walk alongside you, providing clinical expertise, support, and guidance, as you journey through some of the most difficult periods in your life.

I look forward to the opportunity to hear your story.  I accept Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna/Evernorth, Medica and United Health Care.  Private pay fees are $140 for an assessment and $130 per ongoing sessions.  Please complete the inquiry form for more information or call (323) 910-0187 to schedule an appointment.
